Bjorn has been busy giving presentations at our supporting churches

Sadly, with Mommy on bed rest now...Bjorn and Lianna have to do the presentation without Mommy, but thankfully Grandma and Grandpa have been coming to help out!
On the hayride, Lianna had to say, "Hi!" to everyone we passed...too funny!
She loved all these apples right at her height that she could pick!
Lianna and Daddy like the tart apples, while Mommy prefers the sweet apples...This picture is really amazing to us to be able to see her jaw strength improve so much that she could actually bite an apple...wow...
Of course Lianna loved getting to go on Daddy's shoulders to get the apples way up high too!
There were too many pumpkins to count...
But, she tried again and again!
As you can see, Lianna had a great time going to the pumpkin farm, picking apples, and going on a hayride! She just loved being in the states to do such a fun fall outing...we don't get to do these fun things in Hungary!

Lianna saw her neurologist this past week and he was thrilled with all of her developmental gains! She thought it was hilarious to take his little wand and check her own reflexes...she actually got her legs to kick a couple times...it was pretty funny! After being seizure free for 2 years, the doctors now have us weaning Lianna off of her medicine. Please pray with us that God would keep Lianna seizure free! Lianna is also trying to talk more, and her walking and balance is getting better each day. Praise God!
This year the high school students performed in the musical Bye Bye Birdie. The students did a great job! Lianna loved getting to go see the big performance. She was dancing and clapping along with all the music.
Bjorn was in charge of our Family Field Day again this year. This is an annual day where all the students and families of ICSB gather for a picnic and games. This is a big event that Bjorn loves getting to put together. There are many student games to coordinate, but all the staff help out managing. The whole school is divided into four different colored teams, and then they break up into elementary, middle school, and high school groups for the competition. I think the tug-of-war might be the students' favorite game!
Bjorn was asked to talk with the senior boys about college life. Bjorn was able to have great conversations with these boys. Please pray for our graduates as many will be leaving family and traveling far away from Hungary for college.
Papa Stienstra came to visit us for 3 weeks in May. Lianna LOVED getting to sing, play, read...well, everything she got to do with Papa!

Here Bjorn is working with other teachers at the student council fundraiser. The student council decided that with the increase in student outreach this year at the local orphanage, they wanted to raise money for a sound system for this specific ministry. The students and staff had a coffee house and had different students performing too. It was a great night of fellowship, and they raised about $700! Whoa!
We have REALLY enjoyed getting to work with our friend Kim this year at ICSB. Kim, Bjorn and I all grew up in the same high school youth group, and it is really great to be able to serve alongside her. Lianna loves to play with Kim when she comes over too!
Our fire pit has been great for having students over for fellowship. Our landlord often helps us set up the back yard with all the bench seating from his picnic table when he sees that we are going to have more students over. The smores seem to taste better here with yummy German and swiss chocolate. :)
In April I had my 8th grade girls' Bible study over for pizza, movie, and a fire outside. We had a great time. I have been with many of these girls since they were in 5th grade. It is hard to believe that they will now be in high school next year. Time flies!
Here is Daddy taking Lianna to her swim therapy class. There are usually about 4-5 special needs kids in each session. The session is all in Hungarian, so it is good practice for learning our Hungarian too!
Here is one of our students giving her testimony at the basketball tournament in Salzburg. There was one student from Salzburg that talked with the speaker afterwards and was telling him that he wanted to know how to get his relationship back with Christ. Praise God!
Our boys ended up getting 3rd place and our girls' team ending up winning 1st place! Our students even performed a drama outreach and shared the gospel with all the teams that came to play in the tournament. I believe that God was busy at work planting seeds in the hearts of parents and students that attended our tournament. Praise God!
Lianna was hilarious cheering! Every time there was clapping, Lianna had to join in and wave her pom pom!
Lots of basketball fans came to cheer on their teams! Go Bulldogs Go!
