Seussical the Musical

Our middle school students just performed Seussical the Musical. They did a GREAT job! It was so fun to go see their show. Lianna LOVED all the music and dancing. She was dancing to the music and attempting to even sing along. IT was sooo funny. Here are a few pictures from the night. I was so proud of the girls in my Bible study. They did such a great job! I mean come on...just look at how cute they all look in their costumes! Don't you agree?

Middle School Mission Project

Many of you were praying for Bjorn and the Middle School mission trip where they went to a local special needs home for young adults. Some of our students gave their testimonies, and shared Bible stories to the residents of this home. Our students played games, completed crafts with them and even taught them different songs. Overall, they had a great time. Praise God for how he used these 11-13 year olds to encourage others and be a light. The next day the students went and helped out at a gypsy outreach. Dinner and Game night with 11th grade Girls' Bible Study

Awhile ago now our 11th grade girls' Bible study got together for dinner and a game night. We decorated cupcakes and laughed really hard playing catch phrase. My competitive nature really came out playing catch phrase. I love that game! Here are a few pics from our night.

High School Orphanage Trip

Here is a video that one of the high school students made from their trip to the orphanage. This is a local orphanage for kids with special needs and is only about 30 minutes from where we live. You will be greatly encouraged by watching it! It is awesome seeing our students being an encouragement to these kids! Praise God! Enjoy the video!

Drama Skits Downtown

Many of our high school students from ICSB went on a missions project trip to Mexico this summer. Some of our students decided to bring the drama skits that they used for evangelism back to Hungary and teach it to their classmates. Our high school students have been going downtown and performing these skits and sharing the gospel. The first video is a complete view of their music drama skit that they performed. The second video is a video includes stuff from throughout the day from a student's perspective. Enjoy!

Senior Class Trip to Malta

Bjorn made it back safely from Malta. Yes, they did get to see where supposedly Paul was shipwrecked in Malta. They also climbed through the catacombs. Lianna and I are very glad to have him home. He had a great time with our graduating seniors on their senior trip. Although Bjorn came back EXHAUSTED, he wouldn't have wanted to miss this special trip with our senior class. Over the past three years God has blessed Bjorn with some really great relationships with this class. It looks like they had a good time.

Peek A Boo

Who knew Peek-A-Boo could be so much fun? This is currently one of Lianna's favorite games. Her laugh is contagious, so you better be ready! I am so thankful that God has given us laughter. Isn't it such a great gift to be able to laugh?

Kenny Bear Kisses

This is a video of Lianna with her Teddy Bear named, Kenny. It was a bear given to her from Rush Pres. Hospital in Chicago. United Airlines donated teddy bears to all the patients in the pediatric neurology department at Christmas time. It is so funny to see how Lianna loves to give Kenny kisses. We hope you enjoy a good laugh!

Mother's Day

Well, we had a very special Mother's Day. Lianna's Grandma Olsen was here visiting and we had a great time. It was great to have her here. While she was here, I was able to attend a women's conference. Also, Lianna started hand and knee crawling while Grandma was here. We are so thrilled to finally see and hear her little pitter patter of hands and knees hitting the floor. It is a real treat to see her crawling around. Lianna's physical therapy is going great. She has also started a cognitive therapy which is basically a mix of occupational therapy and speech. Bjorn has been really busy at work, but enjoying it immensely. We are so thankful to be back. Thanks for continuing to pray for our family!

Thanks for praying

WOO HOO! We have been accepted by EFCA Reachglobal for long term service! We are very excited about being able to continue our ministry Lord willing, for many years to come. Praise God Lianna's genetics doctor appointment went well. There was no blood that had to be drawn!!! WOO HOO! We are looking forward to heading back home to Hungary.

Olsen Update

This past week has been filled with great things. Bjorn flew in from Hungary to attend the Readiness Event at the Reachglobal headquarters in MN. Bjorn and I had to attend this training to proceed with our application process for transitioning to long term. Because Lianna's health continues to improve, and we have found a great physical therapist in Hungary;we feel confident that God can continue to heal Lianna as we live in Hungary. We are planning to return to Hungary in April. After the Readiness Event training in MN, we returned to the Chicagoland area to speak at the mission's conference at AHEFC. We had a great time speaking to the high schoolers. Thank you for continuing to pray for our family as we continue to walk through the doors that God continues to open.
